Seven of us from North Oxfordshire went to the London Day Conference - ‘In the Beginning was the Word’ - Religion as Poetry and Story? - on 25th March. We will start on Monday with reports on the day and we will see where that leads us. I suspect it will bring us close to where we left off last time.
At our February we decided on a theme for our meetings over the next few months - 'working towards a more compassionate society' and began by considering what grounds we may have for being positive, for being hopeful, in a world where there sometimes seems little to be hopeful about. This month we plan to think about the importance of the inner life: prayer, contemplation, reflection, meditation, a life considered.
